Finance Committee Meeting Minutes

New Business
New Reserve requests – One
Discussion was held with Cheri Fisher on her budget request.
Cook and driver salaries are being raised to coincide with new minimum wage levels.
Discussion was held on the annual salary increase. JGM suggested using the same percentage as federal employees. CF & PL suggested this item be tabled until the teacher & highway unions voted on their increase.
A reserve request was discussed from BOS to cover the additional salary for the fire chief in the amount of $15,000. The request was granted with a motion by JM, a second by SG, and a unanimous vote.
Meeting minutes from 2/11/21 & 2/25/21 were voted on. JGM made a motion to accept the corrected 2/11 minutes and the 2/25 minutes as written. JM seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.
Discussion was held on the budget requests from the senior center, library, parks & rec, and debt service. The accepted budget request numbers were put into the proposed budget column and tabulated on the budget spreadsheet. An updated spreadsheet will be emailed to the finance committee members.
Emails with additional budget details from fire and treasurer were forwarded when received and discussed. Additional information was requested from the treasurer.
Discussion was held on upcoming meetings: The next finance committee meeting is currently scheduled for 4/8/21 at 6pm.
