Firearms License Renewal & New Application Process

Firearms Licensing Update -   

All renewals will be processed through the mail.  New applicants will need to contact us for an appointment.  Instructions for Renewals and New Applications are outlined below.

FOR RENEWALS  ONLY:

 1. Download and complete application from the Town of  Wales Website

 2. Include check for $100.00 payable to the Town of Wales.

 3. Please mail check and application to the Wales Police Dept. P.O. Box 262 Wales, MA 01081

FOR NEW APPLICANTS  ONLY:

1. Download and complete application from the Town of Wales Website

2. Please contact us directly to schedule an appointment for application processing and finger printing. All appointments will be conducted on Tuesday evenings 5:00PM -7:00PM

For your appointment please bring the following

1. Completed application

2. A check for $100. payable to the Town of Wales (no check needed if you are 70 years of age or older at time of renewal.)

3. Copy for your basic firearm safety certificate

4. You will be finger printed at your appointment
