The Town of Wales is seeking applicants for the part time position of Assistant Town Clerk. This position works under the direction of the Town Clerk and provides administrative and clerical support to the Town Clerk. This position creates and maintains confidential Town records; issues dog licenses, marriage licenses, birth and death certificates, and business licenses; manages residency, voting and election data; updates Town Clerk portion of the Town website, including postings for meetings and upcoming events; and assists with genealogical information. Applicants must have a high school diploma; one (1) to three (3) years experience in an advanced clerical position; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Successful candidate must be bondable.
