Proposed Activities for August 11 – 18, 2012

Below is the proposed schedule set for August of 2012. There will be a week-long set of events in celebration of our 250th Anniversary. These events are not set in stone and are subject to change at any time.

 

SATURDAY, Aug 11
7:00 - 9:00 - Pancake Breakfast   
10:00 - 11:00 - Parade                      
Old Fashioned Carnival at the School with 1762 activities, games, etc...
 
SUNDAY, Aug 12
10:00 - Church Service at Wales Baptist Church
12:00 - 5: 00 - Town wide, bring you own picnic to the beach – either Town Beach
1:00 - Cardboard Boat race – oldest town beach to the Dam
2:30 - Water ski demonstration or show
4:00 - Boat parade on Lake George

MONDAY, Aug 13
6:00 - Baseball challenge between Police and Fire
          Visit from Pax Sox or Red Sox and Jimmy Fund donation
 
TUESDAY, Aug 14
7:00 - Veterans Tribute with Air Force band concert – School flag pole
          Sponsored by Republican Town Committee
 
WEDNESDAY, Aug 15
6:00 - Shepherd’s pie pot luck supper
7:00 - Olde Tymers night at old town hall – memorabilia, old movies, etc...
8:00 - The play, Wales – Our Town
 
THURSDAY, Aug 16
6:00 - Craft fair, street fair, vendors and sock hop in front of Sr. Center & Meetinghouse fabrics
        - Drawing for quilt
 
FRIDAY, Aug 17
6:00 - Car Show, burn out contest at WBC Church lot
 
SATURDAY, Aug 18
4:00 - Wind up activities at town barn – awards and thank you
5:00 - Fire Dept Chx BBQ
9:00 - Fireworks
